Musical Extravaganza Successfully Kicks off Endowment Campaign
The communitywide effort to kickoff Shelter House’s Endowment Campaign did indeed 'raise the roof' at the Johnson County 4-H Fair Grounds on March 27th and 28th 2010. June Braverman directed the event and pulled out all the stops in creating a musical extravaganza that included 160 local performers from a variety of performance groups. The audiences for the evening and matinee performances clapped, laughed, cheered, and sang to express appreciation and support.
The musical was a success in many ways, but most impressive of all was the communitywide effort to raise awareness of and funds for Shelter House’s Endowment Campaign – Keeping the Doors Open. Funds raised from the event will go directly to the Shelter House Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Johnson County. The fund is exclusively for operational support.
